It has become a really bad week for the FBI, and by extension the DOJ. With the release of the warrant affidavit the comically redacted document only further cast the Bureau in a mocking light.  From what can be gleaned out of the fragments revealed is that now the raid on Trump’s residence was inspired not by the revelation of state secrets missing or classified nuclear intel, but by the National Archives requesting more docs after receiving boxloads, and a local news affiliate that saw moving trucks at Mar-A-Lago.

This means that the raid was justified with the thinnest of reasons. And the purpose was to simply acquire as much as they could from the compound in an effort to find…anything. Reports of the Feds going in with a specific agenda were blown out of the water when the warrant was found to have been signed off with the intent of obtaining anything at all from Trump’s entire time in office.

Adding to the enbarrassments was the news of a whistleblower from inside the FBI revealing that the Bureau had shielded the knowledge of the laptop obtained from Hunter Biden. This is a story not receiving much media coverage, a telling departure from a press corps that normally gets rather excitable at the arrival of whistleblowers. The claim being made is the FBI elected to bury the laptop story for the reason of not wanting to influence the 2020 election. Then things became even more disturbing – and more ignored in the press.

On Joe Rogan’s podcast Mark Zuckerberg revealed that FaceBook had been approached by the FBI regarding the laptop story and to be wary of how the platform treats the information. The focus has been on the move by the FBI to direct social media to avoid the story. But there was a detail from Zuckerberg that shows the Feds actually contorted and controlled the entire Hunter Biden laptop story. Here was Mark’s explanation how they came to learn of the laptop topic.

  • "Basically, the background here is the FBI, I think, basically came to us- some folks on our team and was like, 'Hey, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert…  We thought that there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election. We have it on notice that, basically, there's about to be some kind of dump ... that's similar to that. So just be vigilant,'"

What he describes is the Feds coming to FaceBook with advance word that the story was going to break out. He describes the FBI directing the narrative about the laptop being a story deriving from Russian disinformation efforts. This was the prevailing explanation given by nearly all news outlets wishing to sidestep the news in the fall of 2020, and it appears this has begun entirely from the FBI. The computer repairshop owner who supplied the computer also has declared agents threatened him while taking it into their possession.

The significance of this cannot be overstated: The FBI was pushing the claim the Hunter laptop was a falseflag story, concocted by Russian agents – all while these same Feds held the physical laptop. The FBI – according to the whistleblower report – had come into possession of Hunter’s computer as far back as December 2019. The entire narrative pushed by the press that the laptop story was a Soviet op and social media platforms squelching any legitimate coverage appears to have been directed by the agency holding the laptop the entire time.

Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray have been getting prickly over accusations the agency has become politicized. The amusement is that this is in response to people and certain media outlets pointing out the bulk of evidence of partisan actions from the Bureau. The very fact that we are learning the agency that fueled the Russian collusion story by giving credence to the Steele dossier is now seen as pushing the fake Russian disinformation campaign on Hunter Biden’s laptop needs to be broadcast widely and frequently.
